I’m flat-out embarrassed when I remember that Martha is younger than me. Decidedly younger. Granted, this doesn’t happen very often, she makes it pretty easy to imagine her as 23 or so. And that’s nice, because then I don’t have to confront thoughts of “and you, self, were doing a grand total of what at that age?” 

She is such an intelligent and accomplished person, and she’s Going Places as fast as fucking anything. Also she’s one of the cutest girls I’ve ever clapped eyes on and looks killer in a tie.
